Ben Archey has lived in Hurst since 2012 and taught at HEB ISD for over 14 years. He's running for Hurst City Council-Place One so that he can continue to serve the people of Hurst.
Globalization and the internet have transformed the local economy and I'm passionate about leading Hurst into the future. At the top of the agenda is mixed use development to expand the tax base and attract professionals without adding to congestion and air pollution. Beautiful green spaces and plazas with art and retail will bring a sense of community to the city.
I'm excited to strengthen our infrastructure with low-cost soutions including sidewalks and bike lanes. This will give safe alternatives for our older adults and children to move about the city while at the same time reducing traffic and improving the air quality.
The relationship between the police and the community is more important than ever. A trained and equipped police force is imperative for public safety and it's also critical that every member of our community, no matter their ethnicity or creed, can feel a deep sense of trust in law enforcement. I'm passionate about working hand-in-hand with the police, sheriff and constables, and community leaders to bring a new sense of understanding and trust.
